Business Analyst - London - 40-50k + Benefits

A Business Analyst is urgently sought to join the IT department of a global company based in the UK. The Business Analyst will be required to assist the IT Business Managers and Project Managers to ensure that the business requirements are elicited from the Business and documented in a suitable manner to enable the successful completion of IT projects. Assisting in the preparation of business cases, system specifications and test scripts and communicating with the relevant teams.

Responsibilities will include;

* Document processes using different methodologies from structured frameworks; RUP and UML to more Agile approaches.

* Record business requirements clearly and in an appropriate format for the development team as well as the project sponsor.

* Produce UML, Wireframes, ERDs, Pseudo Code and screen designs where appropriate.

* In pre-deployment undertake ad-hoc reproduction of bugs to ensure the requirements and functionality are ultimately met.

* Liaise with the training team to ensure current issues are designed out and that any necessary courses or supporting material are in place and correct for project rollout.

* Attend scrum stand-ups where necessary and provide feedback to the Developers or the Central Admin team where necessary.

* Sanity test systems against agreed specifications and iron out ambiguities.

* Perform analysis using the most appropriate format for the project and project stage.

* Post deployment, act as liaison and monitor system uptake and provide support to operations team/project sponsor to ensure the systems are being used as specified.

* Carry out investigative analysis of new software and technologies when required.

* Strong documentation and oral skills.

* Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively and work under pressure.

* A logical thinker who searches for new solutions or reuse of other solutions where necessary, understanding the difference for when that discretion is required.

* Able to assess commercial impact of project decisions, from a position of detailed understanding of corporate strategy and objectives.

* Keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability.

* Has an aspiration to learn new skills and develop professional skills in Business Analysis.
