An Exciting Opportunity Has Arisen To Join Our Client As A Sales & Marketing Assistant
Who they are
Our client is a major supplier of meal accompaniments and consumer home-baking products to major grocery retailers, Cash & Carry/Wholesale and Foodservice operators.
The company has significant growth plans, hence they are looking for an ambitious individual to join their team.
They are based in bright, modern offices on the outskirts of the historic town of Wetherby, West Yorkshire.
The role
They are looking for a commercially aware individual to assist their sales and marketing activities within a fast paced food-manufacturing environment. They would welcome applications from ambitious candidates, as the role offers the scope to develop into a more senior sales/commercial position for the right individual.
Responsibilities include day-to-day sales administration, including using major customer web-based sales systems and some direct customer contact. You will also compile regular weekly and monthly reporting including researching of data and preparing presentations. A strong work ethic and pro-active approach to problem solving is required.
There will be exposure to their Marketing activities and although not a prerequisite of the role, some knowledge of marketing would be an advantage.
The position will require you to work cross functionally, liaising with other departments in order to ensure customer business objectives are delivered on time. There will be significant liaison with the NPD manager and product development team in order to ensure a smooth launch process for new products.
A good level of computer literacy with Microsoft packages (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) is a pre-requisite.
You will ideally have at least two years` work experience in a commercial environment. Knowledge of FMCG markets and major grocery retailers would be useful though candidates from other backgrounds will be considered.
