Senior C++ Developer

Description

Corporate headquarters of a high growth public company is seeking a strong high level Developer to join its core infrastructure development team. The C++ Developer will develop and maintain applications, systems and framework infrastructure for a state-of-the-art Internet-based application.

Responsibilities

As a C++ Developer for the Development Team, the individual will be part of the team responsible for managing the design, development, implementation and support of a large volume web application. The individual will also be expected to work on the development of other software applications. The ideal candidate would be an expert in C++ design and development, and have experience developing or interfacing with Real Time trading applications.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related field;

5+ years experience developing with C++;

Experience with and strong understanding of:

- multi-threaded Server Side development

- high-volume low-latency transaction processing

- C++ performance tuning tools

- C++ debugging and memory profiling tools

- C++ STL;

Demonstrable experience in design and system architecture

Ability to work independently and productively under pressure, and effectively multi-task;

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

Prefer experience working with:

- electronic Exchanges (eg, CME, NYSE, NASDAQ)

- Integrated Service Vendors (ISVs) in the electronic trading industry

- electronic trading systems;

Prefer experience with Boost, multicast messaging, Unix Scripts;

Prefer understanding of futures, options, spreads and swaps, though strong C++ developers will be considered without trading background;
