Shipping Solicitor, Liverpool - This highly regarded national firm have a well established Marine department in their Liverpool office and are keen to add a junior lawyer to their team. Headed up by a well connected partner, the team handle a wide range of of shipping work on behalf of clients including P&I clubs, ports, insurers and owners - dealing with all aspects of wet and dry shipping matters.

Suitable candidates will have up to around 2 years pqe in Shipping law, gained in another leading national or city team. Recently qualified Solicitors will be considered, but must have spent at least a 6 month seat within the Shipping team of major UK firm.

Consultant's profile - Melanie began her career in recruitment in 1997, initially in the IT sector. She moved into Legal Recruitment in 2001 handling junior, mid-level and senior appointments for the Private Practice market predominantly in the North of England. Melanie has extensive experience working with Solicitors and Partners covering all sectors of law and has built up a reputation with clients and candidates alike for her professionalism, integrity and approachability. She is a Certified Recruitment Professional (CertRP) and Member of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (MIRP).
