Insurance Litigation: Claimant Experienced Paralegals, Solicitors or FILEXs

Lyons Davidson is a national law practice of 38 partners and over 1200 staff, operating from principal offices in Bristol and offices in Solihull, Leeds, Surrey, Plymouth, Cardiff and London, with our associated practice in Edinburgh, Lyons Davidson Scotland LLP.

We are looking for experienced Paralegals/FILEXs or Solicitors to join our expanding Cardiff office. We are looking for exceptional candidates to effectively manage a caseload of fast track and litigated files. You will be a successful trial hardened litigator with a proven track record. You will be actively involved in the training and development of staff.

Duties/Responsibilities:
* Dealing with an RTA caseload of pre and post litigated claims from inception to trial using our case management system.
* Advising and mentoring less experienced case handlers on all procedural stages of litigated claims.
Skills Required:
* Technical proficiency in litigating personal injury claims
* Ability to anaylse and research complex legal issues
* Excellent organisation and communication skills
* Be able to work and prioritise in a busy litigation environment
* IT literate and able to work under our in-house Case Management System
* Be able to work as part of a team

Experience:
* Experience of handling a litigated personal injury caseload.
* Excellent legal knowledge and practical experience of litigation
* Experience of preparing own cases for trial including all aspects of evidence
Education Required:
Essential:
* LPC, ILEX or significant fee earning history
* Law degree or other degree with CPE
Desirable:
* Qualified Solicitor (LLB/ILEX Route)
* ILEX (Qualified to FILEX level)
