Job Title: Environmental Test Engineer (contract)

Area : London, South East, Middlesex,

Salary: 30 to 45 per hour
Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens. Applicants who meet this criteria will also be required to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.

Job Description: This role requires a contract dedicated Environmental Test Engineer to perform environmental assessment, compliance testing and achieve environmental certification.


Working knowledge of project lifecycle and where compliance testing fits
In depth knowledge of Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT)
Experience with development of EQT Plans and Procedures
First-hand experience in performing EQT
Working knowledge of Temperature, Shock, Vibration and other EQT equipment
Experience in writing test Reports
Comfortable in facilitating test events, liaising with Test Houses etc
Able to develop presentations to customer
Experienced user of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
Working knowledge of Defence Standards and Military Specifications
Working knowledge of Temperature, Shock, Vibration and other EQT equipment
Experience in writing test Reports
Comfortable in facilitating test events, liaising with Test Houses etc
Able to develop presentations to customer
Experienced user of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
Working knowledge of Defence Standards and Military Specifications
HNC, HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Understanding of engineering qualification projects



Knowledge of physical environmental testing and specifications relating to:

Vibration, shock Temperature and Humidity, Altitude, Ingress Protection, Salt Fog, Sand and Dust, Fatigue, HALT
BS EN 60068, Mil Std 810, Def Stan 00-35, RTCA
