Compressor Technician
26,805 - 31,530 + Benefits
St Fergus Terminal

Responsible for mechanical plant maintenance, you'll play a key role in making sure National Grid benefits from the
highest levels of equipment availability and reliability. You'll do this by delivering a planned maintenance programme,
and through timely fault identification and rectification.

We'll expect you to be a team player. Working closely with managers, engineers, other staff, suppliers and equipment
manufacturers, you'll ensure compliance with relevant legislation at all times. You'll provide maintenance and
operational support cover for the Terminal, Compressor and Pipeline operations. You also be required to provide out of
hours cover for breakdowns.

Ideally educated to a minimum of ONC (or equivalent) you have completed a recognised mechanical apprenticeship / training
programme. A good understanding of gas transmission systems and associated legislation and standards is essential. Your
mechanical knowledge and experience includes aero derivative transmission / electrically driven compressors. Some travel
is involved, so it's vital that you have a full driving licence.
