Capita are recruiting for an Identity Architect to work on a high profile programme within Central Government. This role
is initially 12 months in duration and will primarily be based in Blackpool, however there will be regular travel to
London, Newcastle and Warrington.
This role is for a Identity Architect to provide technical assurance around the emerging design for IDA (Identity
Assurance) and associated Services and to provide technical input and assurance to the Agile workshops covering the
identity solutions for the programme. A background in delivering/assuring identity solutions in either government or
banking/finance is advantageous, as would previous experience of cross government identity solutions/policy.

Please note - due to the urgency of this requirement and the nature of the work Current SC Clearance is required.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
* Production and maintenance of IDA architecture and principles.
. Technical assurance on supplier proposals and detailed designs for identity components
. Liason with other government departments on Identity related matters
. Technical assurance of 3rd party providers of IDA and related Trust Services.
. Technical support to identity agile workshops.
. Identification of identity risks and management of mitigation activities against those risks.
. Input and support to security accreditation work around the new IDA, solutions.

Skills/Experience Required
* Demonstrable experience of identity technologies, and products, SAML 2 redirection based federation, IAM and portal
design, WAM, STS, directory federation. Oracle product stack esp OIF, web gate an advantage.
. Assurance of identity verification, authentication and related business services. Desirable - standards in identity
assurance eg tScheme
. Hands-on experience of the design and delivery web based and identity management solutions in a large
organisation/multi-supplier environment.
. Experience of managing IS Security, developing policies, procedures and guidelines in a major, complex multi-supplier
environment.
. Experience in the development, implementation and operation of IT Security Strategy within a large and complex
multi-supplier/multi-platform environment.
. Experience of Agile development desirable.
. Desirable - Working knowledge of government and cross government security including HMG Security standards, CESG GPGs
RSDOPS and IS/x standards, UK CNI
. A good understanding of the security implications arising from COTS packages
. Conversant with security best practices (including BS7799) and relevant legislation.
. Conversant with all areas of IT Security.
. Experience of using general system architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman
* Architecting systems to HMG Security Standards, UK Critical National Infrastructure
. Managing architectural and technical change to support HMG Security Accreditation processes

Formal Qualifications Required
BCS certificate in Information Security Management or a BSC in Computer Science, MSc in Information Systems Security or
equivalent qualification or relevant experience.
Knowledge of UK central government IT security standards and policies (eg CESG developed standards and guidance).
CESG Listed Advisor (CLAS), BS7799 Auditor, CISA (Certified Information Security Auditor) or Certified Protection
Professional (CPP) desired.
