With customers across a broad spectrum of industries, notably the electricity, rail and industrial sectors, we offer a range of consultancy, services and products. Due to rapid growth within the company, an opportunity has now arisen for several Software / Web Developers to join the software solutions team.

The Role:

The software solutions team has a varied portfolio and we are looking for suitable candidates to drive forward the development of these products. The role will incorporate new development along with supporting existing products for the electricity industry. The product portfolio includes web-based enterprise solutions right down to on-board software for our award-winning instruments range.

Actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the team, you will be tasked with developing and maintaining a variety of applications. You will be involved in the whole life cycle of the application, with the opportunity to manage development projects when required.

What we are looking for:

There is a requirement for both web developers and desktop application developers who have solid experience in ANY of the following areas.

- C#.NET Framework 2.0 (or higher)
- ASP.NET web forms or ASP.NET MVC applicationdevelopment
- Highly responsive web sites using AJAX
- JavaScript and JavaScript libraries such as jQuery
- SQL Server 2005 (or higher) or other relational databases

Although a predominantly Microsoft based development team, experience of working with other platforms and technologies would be beneficial. This is a fantastic opportunity where a successful candidate could assist in the strategy of the development team during a period of commercial growth and the challenges of fast pace technology change.

In addition to the core skills it would be beneficial to any candidate, although not essential, if they have experience of any of the following;

- Windows Services
- Web Services
- Embedded Operating System experience (Windows CE and Windows Embedded)
- Unit testing
- Developing with patterns and practices such as MVVM
- HTML5 and CSS3
- PHP
- Mobile web applications
- Operating system configuration and device drivers
- Linux/Unix operating systems

Salary will be based on knowledge and experience and as such we welcome applications from all levels of developer.
