Retail Sales Manager - Salary is 32-35k depending on experience, plus bonus and car.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced candidate to join a company within the retail industry and so product based sales background would be a distinct advantage.

Responsible for the development and performance of all key account customers in the UK. Manages and directs UK sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with values and objectives. Establishes strategies to maximise product potential.

Responsibilities:

Develop UK sales through all channels. Manage and drive sales in UK key accounts. Manage, motivate and fully run the UK sales team including sales meetings, reporting systems, implementing planograms/displays, sales targets, key objectives and new product launches

Develop the UK sales team`s training and performance. Work on the in-store presentation of products ensuring consumers understand the products, their benefits and ensuring each one reaches maximum sales potential.

Work within the marketing department to: - ensure maximum impact of the marketing budget in the UK, set objectives for trade shows, to set up promotions that drive sales, ensure stock is available and then feedback information of sales and profit on every campaign. Develop a plan to ensure key account representatives and stores owners are fully educated and trained in selling our products effectively

Fully maximise all UK new product launches including setting targets, forecasting stock requirements and ensuring that the launches are a success and targets are hit

Provide timely feedback on analysis of UK sales and produce detailed reports and growth forecasts. Analyse the UK market to understand the full market potential. Gather market data for the UK that can help in our sales. Present quarterly to the Board on UK sales and projected growth. Control UK sales team expenses to meet budget guidelines

Ensure that all members of the UK sales team meet or exceed all activity standards for store calls, store visits/appointments, presentations, order processing and communication with other departments. Delegate authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up. Set examples for team members in areas of personal character, commitment, organisational and selling skills, and work habits

Experience: Extensive experience in managing customer relationships and sales management. Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams. A proven track record of new business development. A great understanding of promotions, budgets, forecasts and planograms. A good grasp of marketing and brand management. Work away from home when needed
