The licensing and install team are responsible for producing and integrating installation software and software protection (bespoke and 3rd party) within a wide variety of Micro Focus products. The successful applicant will be joining a small but diverse team of skilled software developers as they integrate and extend installation and licensing technology.

Working in an Agile development environment the team is responsible for owning and driving these technologies that play a key role in the usability and integrity of our products. This is a technical development role so the successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including design, development, testing and support.

The role is in the Newbury office but will involve working closely with teams in other design centres. Requirements Education to Degree Level in Computer Science or similar subject.

At least 5 years technical experience in software development. Strong technical software skills. A highly personable team player who is able to work effectively with colleagues and customers.

An effective communicator who is able to explain complex technical issues. Able to demonstrate innovative and creative thinking. Flexible and adaptable attitude. Quality focused. Strong C++ and/or C# skills. Strong development skills using the .Net Framework Experience of licensing technology such as SafeNet (Sentinel RMS in particular) and Flex advantageous Experience with Microsoft MSI and/or Wix advantageoous Exposure to UNIX and Linux platforms advantageous Experience of an Agile development methodology desirable

SALARY: Up to 35,000
