ARM Engineer (Availability, Reliability and Maintainability)

Portsmouth

£37 - £38 per hour

Job Profile

An opportunity has arisen for an ARM Engineer to provide day-to-day support for the practical application of the Availability Reliability and Maintainability (ARM) philosophy, as applied to a long term CLS type contract.

Technical Tasks

* Amendments and delivery of FMECA - functional and physical, from components up to system level.

* RBD's - production and use of

* Reliability Predictions - parts count and parts stress analysis up to system level

* Modelling - determination of target/ allocated reliability figures from an overall system availability requirement.

* Use of proprietary analysis tools, e.g. Relex, Opus, FTA+.

* Maintainability - calculation of MART & MTTR times both measured and predicted.

* Have an understanding and experience of the effect of testability on MART.
implementation of the demo, recording of the results, analysis' and report. Eg RDT, ESS, ISRMD, P-RAT, maintainability and BIT demonstrations.

* Testability - designing of testability, Bit implementation.

* ARM - understand the relationship between LSA and Supply Support

Qualifications and / or skills

Degree, Diploma or BTEC in Reliability Engineering or a Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.

Is trained, qualified and can demonstrate recent experience in the application of ARM in CLS type environment.

Must be competent at spares and availability modelling.
