In-House Lawyer - Medical Products Division
Location: Livingston, Scotland (near Edinburgh) or Putzbrunn, Germany (near Munich)
The Gore Medical Products Division has provided creative therapeutic solutions to complex medical problems for 35 years. More than 30 million innovative Gore Medical Devices have been implanted, saving and improving the quality of lives worldwide.
To support this growing business we are looking for a Lawyer to join our Global Legal Team to provide legal and compliance advice within the EMEA region. As well as drafting and negotiating consulting, service, research, non-disclosure and sponsorship agreements plus tender responses, we will rely on your experience to manage risk, by giving advice on any compliance issues.
Additionally you will develop and deliver legal and compliance training and be the legal point of contact for marketing and promotional activities. In addition you will guide the team in handling and dealing with anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws and you will monitor regulatory developments from government agencies and advisory bodies in order to determine needed changes. This responsible
position requires your attendance at sales meetings as well as professional conferences and congresses.
* Ideally, the successful candidate has the following profile:
* Completed law degree and admitted to practice / qualified to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
* More than 5 years of work experience in legal, regulatory or compliance in a European regulated industry or government agency
* Experience in supporting internal reviews, investigations and inspections
* Basic understanding of healthcare and/or the medical field
* Fluent in English with a strong preference to communicate effectively in Italian and/or German
* Any additional language skills (e.g. French, Spanish or Russian) are beneficial
* Strong communication (verbal and written) as well as organisational skills
* Ability to work and solve problems independently as well as part of a multi-functional team based in multiple physical locations
* Capability to interact with multiple cultures and nationalities
* Flexibility to prioritise and handle multiple tasks, projects and deadlines
* Willingness to travel internationally
