Peak Scientific Instruments, a fast-growing company specialising in the manufacture of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market is looking to recruit an IT Application Project Support Technician.

Glasgow

25,000 - 30,000 + Bonus + Package

We are an award winning company with our head office based in a modern facility at Inchinnan by Glasgow International Airport and have a very strong reputation in the market place. Our current global turnover is 17m, with plans to grow significantly over the next few years. We export 90% of our sales to approximately 115 countries and we have opened a number of overseas offices recently including China, Australia, Singapore and Japan.

Reporting to the Business Systems Manager the main duties of this IT Application Support role will include:

* Identifying and delivering business system improvement processes utilising current technologies
* Supporting users in the operation of our business systems
* Testing new software releases
* Providing training to users and assisting with rolling out these releases in a live environment
* Providing support to IT team projects.
* General user IT support.

Ideally IT Application Support candidates should have the following skills:

* Good all round IT knowledge
* Working knowledge of SQL databases
* XML report writing
* SSRS/SSAS/SSIS
* SQL transact proficient
* Active directory / Exchange
* Strong team player and highly driven
* Excellent organisational skills
