Our client's Sunderland Plant is re-writing the rule book on UK car manufacturing. Your skills and abilities will be stretched and developed on a daily basis. Their Sunderland plant is one of the most efficient and successful vehicle manufacturing plants in Europe.
Joining them as Production/Process Engineer, you will be responsible for the specification, scheduling, procurement and introduction of new and modified facilities into their assembly processes. Collaborating with Design, Manufacturing, Purchasing, QA departments and other engineers, you will work cross functionally to deliver key engineering strategies and objectives. Whilst carrying out 3D CAD and quality concern investigations (data analysis and development of countermeasures), you will specify, schedule, procure and introduce new and modified process for both existing and new products as well as planning and managing trials for the introduction of new products into the manufacturing lines. You will also provide technical support to the manufacturing area on a daily basis.

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that candidates are educated to a degree level in an engineering related subject and have previous experience working in a highly automated manufacturing environment. You will have experience of Vehicle development in the automotive industry and, ideally, will have experience of project planning and control in a high volume manufacturing environment.
Whilst demonstrating a commitment to quality improvement, you will have an ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels and will be a good team worker. Coupled with strong analytical and problem solving skills, you will be PC literate; with experience in the use of CAD (IDEAS, CATIA, DELCAM, NX).
