Our client, a well established specialist travel company is looking for an experienced 'Travel' Sales Consultant for their Redditch town centre based call centre.
We are only considering 'experienced' travel professionals. The type of person that succeeds for our client has a fantastic work ethic, a passion for sales, a positive attitude, enthusiastic, self motivated, multi-tasker, highly organised, willing to go that extra mile to make a sale and can really "make a difference" on a telephone call selling not only the benefits of the product, but selling themselves and the company.
The rewards for success are high. The basic salary on offer is £15,000 plus incentives with the average earnings being £23,000, whilst the top sales consultants achieve £35,000-£55,000. In addition they offer 4 weeks holiday, a pension plan, free parking, free travel insurance and overtime if wanted.
The main monthly targets are primarily based on money per booking, PLUS profitability, with consultants getting a percentage of the profit they generate for the company. There are also many other incentives throughout the year where consultants have won holidays, cash, high street vouchers, champagne, ipods, digital cameras etc. As one of the largest specialist agents in the country there are high commission levels and access to a wide array of exclusive offers not available on the high street.
The majority of business comes from database marketing with database of 120,000 customers from past activities on the web, national press, magazines and direct mail.
Office hours are:
Monday to Thursday 9.00am-8.00pm.
Friday 9.00am-6.00pm.
Saturday 9.00am-5.00pm.
Sunday 10.00am-6.00pm.
The working hours are 37.5 hours per week and the shift pattern is generally a week of "earlies" 9.00am-5.30pm, then a week of "lates" 11.30am-8.00pm. You work one full weekend in, then one weekend off. You do not work more than 5 days in a row (having a day off in the week). There is a degree of flexibility to suit individual requirements e.g. dropping/collecting children at nursery.
The company culture is pretty informal and friendly, normally having one company function/party every 2 months to celebrate successes and excellent Christmas parties. In additional they have many meals/drinks out together plus BBQs, nights out at the greyhounds, comedy clubs, river cruises and even a trip to the bingo!
If this sounds like the sort of environment you'd enjoy and you have solid/recent sales experience from within the travel industry, then we'd love to hear from you.
