SolTech is seeking a Senior Server and Virtualization Architect to plan and design a world-class network. This position is responsible for network design initiatives globally and will design architecture to improve performance, reliability and scalability. The ideal candidate will create strategies, methodologies and tools to increase capabilities and measure progress.

Job Responsibilities

* Provide senior-level strategies for LAN/WAN and data center technology components to support global SaaS delivery

* Maintain a deep, comprehensive understanding of all aspects of IP Networking and network design. This includes routing, switching, application delivery, content delivery, traffic shaping/policing, IGPs/EGPs, VoIP, high availability and associated monitoring, troubleshooting and design tools

* Work closely with solutions engineering and operations teams to design and enhance the global network

* Develop, lead and measure operational excellence and continuous IT improvements. Must be well versed in ITIL, High Availability, Service Delivery and global Matrix management

* Serve as Tier 4 support - the last point of escalation for a technical problem

* Design solutions for 10,000+ users

Required Skills

* 10-15 years of working technology experience

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's degree in Computer Science, business or related field preferred

* Global LAN/WAN network architecture design and administration

* VOIP/SIP knowledge and design

* SaaS product design

* Professional certifications related to TOGAF and ITIL a plus

* Proven ability to effectively communicate complex ideas, issues, concepts and solutions to all levels of the organization, including executive leadership

* Demonstrated knowledge/experience with multiple IT infrastructure disciplines

* Knowledge in all areas of data center infrastructure
