IT Development Support Engineer

A leading telecoms company based in Surrey has a number of opportunities for IT Development Support Engineer. We are currently looking for motivated, ambitious and driven individuals to join a company that offers great career development.
On joining the team you will provide Development support within site engineering, configuration and support of products and networks. The successful applicants will learn a variety of skills across the telecoms network technologies enabling them to cover customer network operations such as software, hardware and configurations and integration.
Other duties will include; Execute programming on parts of IT-tools to enable that the tools can be used to deliver services in the day to day operations.
An understanding of programming, plans, designs, and supporting products and networks along with the ability to read and understand technical instructions will be required and a higher education qualification in telecoms or IT is highly desirable (graduate degree is preferable, but not essential).

Along with these characteristics candidates must possess the following specific requirements.
- Understanding of operating systems/tools such as Linux, Unix, Perl
- Understanding of database tools such as Access, SQL
- Understanding of Java, C, C++
- Ambition with plenty of drive and self-motivation
- Naturally set goals and objectives for yourself to work towards
