Data Architect - UK - Permanent

We are currently looking for a Data Architect and a Data Modeler to work with a leading consultancy organisation in the UK. You will be working on exciting project in the UK and be offered an attractive salary package.

What will you do? In either role, you'll be working at the heart of our projects; designing the data architectures that underpin innovative business transformation.

As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for implementing the data architecture essential for business intelligence applications. This will include gathering data requirements, developing the data architecture design, advising on development of logical data models, the physical data models and the metadata strategy..

In the Data Modeller position, you'll develop and manage data models for large enterprise data domains. You'll design, build and maintain the logical and physical data models, be responsible for the data warehouse during design & build and implement the metadata strategy.

Required
You'll need to be a conceptual thinker who can translate business capability and requirements into a Data Architecture. You'll also need the ability to understand practical ramifications of high level data design decisions. You should also have the following::

*A degree level qualification
*Experience of developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models using both 3rd normal form and star-schema (dimensional) models
*Considerable experience in a similar role, with proven expertise gained in challenging, business critical projects.

Preferred:
Experience and understanding of one or more industries is a characteristic we're looking for. As is
experience with industry standard modelling tools such as Erwin or Rational Data Architect.

Required
*Bachelor's Degree
*Must have eligibility to work in the UK : Mastered
*Substantial data modelling experience : Mastered
*Experience of complex projects (both large and small) and working with multiple clients at the same time : Mastered
*Experience leading and being responsible for data architecture across the analytics piece on projects : Applied
*Experience working with Data Modelling tools - Erwin, IBM, Oracle : Mastered
*Substantial experience driving data analysis and inputting into data model and data integration Solutions : Mastered
*Experience using industry data models: Applied
*Experience of data analysis for the ETL component of an analytics solution and experience of inputting and mapping to a deliverable : Acquired
*Proven Consultancy skills with the ability to produce deliverables on time, ability to think on their feet, ability to work both in a team, as a team leader and as a sole trader : Mastered
*Must be fully mobile within the UK and willing to be away from home : Mastered
*English: Fluent
