Our pipeline alone runs in the Billions and you will get the chance to work on deals from 10m to 100m plus. The bid management team currently consists of 11 and due to a phenomenal growth plan over the next 2 years in our leading IT Division we are looking to recruit another 3 bid managers who will be home based but have the ability to travel to customer sites on a regular basis. The Bid Manager is responsible for the management of the production and delivery to the customer of an approved offer within the specified budget and timescales. The offer should conform to the agreed sales plan/strategy, co-ordinating the bid team resource in the pursuit of this primary goal. The Bid Manager will be responsible for this offer through to contract signature and handover. Main Duties for the Bid Manager: * Sales strategy * Identify, plan and manage all major bid activities for a given opportunity from qualification through to contract signature * Develop a proposal plan/strategy from the sales strategy/plan * Identify and maintain a register of the risk in the proposed offer and implement an action plan to mitigate such risk * To manage change during the bid. * To support customer presentation/reference visits/ demonstrations Essential skills and experience * IT Industry Experience * Experience in Bid Management * Working on large scale outsourcing Bids 10m + * Good Understanding of MS Office product suite (especially MS Excel) Desirable skills and experience * Good understanding of IT services business. * Experience of Project Management , Planning and Control * Specialist/technical appreciation * Leadership and People Management Personal Attributes * Target Driven * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal * The ability to work confidently with stakeholders at all levels * Strong decision making and problem solving skills * Good commercial awareness.
