TTM Healthcare are recruiting a Clinical Scientist for Molecular Haematology on behalf of one of the UKs largest teaching trusts.


Job Summary
The successful candidate will be employed within the Molecular Haematology division of the Haematology Department. You will be a registered Health Care Scientist (Clinical Scientist or Biomedical Scientist) and be required to undertake a broad range of complex and specialist molecular diagnostic procedures for the analysis of Haematological/Malignant disorders. You will share in the workload of the molecular diagnostic service.

Requirements:

BSc in an appropriate biological science.
Higher degree in a Biological Science Desirable.
HPC registration.
Knowledge of principals of molecular biology & molecular genetics.
Current knowledge of molecular diagnostic tests.
Knowledge of requirements for working in a diagnostic laboratory.
Practical abilities in molecular diagnostic techniques.
Good organisational and communication skills.

Experience:

Specific work experience in molecular diagnosis.
Writing and checking of clinical diagnostic reports.
Experience of commonly used and specialised molecular biology methods.
Lab management and supervision desirable.
