Business Account Executive

My client is currently looking to recruit a Programme/Event Executive for their Taunton offices. This role will be responsible for the effective sourcing of hotels and venues for contracts/programmes - ensuring all rates are competitive at all times.

Key responsibilities include:

* Manage, negotiate and deliver annual hotel, apartment and MICE programmes and allocations within agreed timelines and SLA's
* Ensure negotiated rates are competitive, renegotiating where required
* Negotiate value added packages as requested
* First point of contact for any hotel, apartment or MICE rate queries and disputes, resolving as a priority
* Attend internal and external customer review meetings and communicate results and savings opportunities
* Quarterly analysis of programme performance against market forecasts


This is a very busy and strategic role, and requires a focused and driven individual to ensure the business is competitive at all times. You will be a strong communicator, a problem solver and be happy to take responsibility.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role with the hospitality setting and will be a good negotiator.
