2nd Line / Application Support Engineer - SQL / VB6 / VB.NET - SQL / VB6 / VB.NET Do you have strong VB6, VB.net, SQL or MS Dynamics support knowledge? Microsoft SQL, Visual Basic / VBA, HTML plus exposure to the following would be advantageous: MS Office 2007/10, Windows XP/7, Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory and Exchange. My client an award winning software house is looking for a bright VB6, VB.net, SQL, C #, C++ ASP Application / Software Support Engineer who has the ability to support their external customers. As a 2nd Level Helpdesk /Software Support Analyst / Application Support Engineer you will assist with the management and development of software applications to continually improve efficiencies and ensure the smooth running and success of the business. My client is a leading company within the telecoms marketplace. They are now looking for a software support / IT Software Support analyst to join them at their offices in West London / Surrey office.

Responsibilities
* Essential coding support skills are VB6, VB.net (Winforms) SQL
* C# and C++ (Nice to have)
* Ability to understand the business needs/ processes of different departments within the business, and match appropriate technical solutions to those requirements
* Willingness to take ownership of issues and, working independently, to see them through to resolution
* At least 2-3 years previous experience within a similar System Developer / Software Support role is essential


Salary for this West London / Surrey based Application / Software Support Engineer / 2nd Line VB6, VB.net, SQL position is £28,000 - £32,000 (Negotiable) + Benefits
