A great career development role with a FTSE 250 Market Leader
A two-year graduate programme specialising in Organisational development. Build on your core Graduate competencies.
Talent is the key to our future. We want to ensure we attract, develop and retain, real high performers, strong leaders and innovators - people who are outstanding compared to their peers. Here's a superb career development role for an HR/Business Graduate to join our Graduate programme and support our HR agenda.
SIG plc is a market-leading distributor of specialist building products across Europe and the Middle-East, serving a wide range of trades in the building and construction markets. With 8,500 employees in the UK, we're increasing our focus on developing our own talent - and that could include you.
In this role, rather than develop a generalist HR career, you will focus in this important arena. Reporting to the UK Talent Manager, you'll join our two-year Graduate Development programme which builds on core Graduate competencies, with three development events each year. You will be working in areas of Organisational Development that include:
* Employee Engagement - mission - values - behaviours.
* Supporting HR systems and process projects.
* Talent Management.
* Management Development.
* Staff Development.
* Supporting the development of our social media strategy.
* On-going projects that support the Organisational Development agenda throughout the UK.
Ideally coming on board by September, you must have at least a 2:1 in HR or a related business subject and a genuine interest in HR. Strong on tact and sensitivity, with good team-working skills, you'll have good attention to detail, be able to think ahead and be a proven problem-solver. Managing multiple priorities within given timescales will also be important for this role.
We also need a first-class communicator and organiser, proficient in Microsoft Office who is willing and able to travel within the UK. A full valid driving licence and use of your own car will be essential.
