Control Systems Engineer

Mansfield, Nottingham, Derby, Chesterfield, Doncaster, Nottinghamshire

£25,000 - £40,000 (Depending on experience)

Leading specialist in the design and manufacture of high quality industrial control systems. The company work with a variety of clients from a spectrum of industries supplying Material Handling Systems, Batching Systems, Control Equipment, Power Control Systems and Automation Lines to name but a few.


The Role

The successful control systems engineer shall be required to carry out the design of new and retro fitted control systems and be able to proficiently produce electrical CAD drawings. The Control Systems Engineer will design electrical hardware in control panels based on the client's specifications and the functional design specifications. The successful candidate will also need to program PLC's, carry out commissioning and operator training and provide technical support as and when required.

The Successful Candidate

To be successful in this application, candidates should be able to demonstrate that they possess the following skills, attributes and experiences:

-Be able to proficiently produce electrical CAD drawings using EPLAN P8.
-Confident in the design of electrical hardware in control panels based on the user requirements specifications and functional design specifications.
-PLC programming on all or any of Mitsubishi GX Developer, GXIEC Developer, Siemens S5 &S7, Rockwell ControlLogix, or RSLogix.
-Experienced with commissioning and operator training.
-Able to provide technical support.
-Ideally an HND or Degree

It would be highly advantageous if candidates possessed the following

-HMI visualisation skills, using Win CC flexible and E-Designer
-Experience of SCADA systems such as MX4 and Win CC
-Visual Studio C# experience
