Multidisciplinary Engineering Consultants specialising in the provision of innovative, sustainable Buildings Engineering Solutions seek to appoint a Building Physics Modeller as part of the development of their West Midlands team. Qualified to minimum HNC standard in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering, the successful applicant will have previous experience of dynamic thermal modelling for buildings using software such as IES & TAS and a good overall grasp of HVAC Services & renewable technologies. Joining an established Energy & Sustainability Group, you will be involved in a wide range of activities including: use of IES VE & TAS for dynamic modelling & analysis of new & existing buildings; carrying out natural ventilation simulations with reporting on findings & potential improvements; summertime overheating calculations; daylight simulations; production of EPCs & DECs; Part L; design team liaison; site surveys of existing buildings & their services installations; participation in design team & project meetings; contributing to the general development of sustainable methods & techniques within the location. Excellent opportunities available for further technical development and subsequent progression within the business.
