Position: Service Centre Technician
Location: Stockport, Cheshire
Salary: £16,500 to £20,000 (subject to skills and experience)
CDL are currently recruiting for Technicians to join our busy Service Centre.
As a Service Centre Technician you will be trained to provide 1st and 2nd line support for CDL`s product range. You will be responsible for resolving CDL application and product related incidents, within agreed service levels. The role also involves communicating directly with clients, investigating queries on their systems, and working closely with other CDL departments.
As part of the Service Centre team you will be responsible for maintaining our client`s business critical systems. You will be involved in the provision of application and technical support. Duties include telephone call logging and using remote access facilities to investigate problems on clients systems. You will be dealing with high profile clients and will need to be committed to providing a high level of customer service.
Full training will be given to the successful candidates as you will be supporting bespoke software.
The successful candidate will possess strong diagnostic and problem solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure. You should also be enthusiastic, willing to learn and to contribute to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
-To develop a good understanding of CDL insurance broking application software.
-To be able to log calls from clients and extract all relevant information.
-To be able to diagnose and resolve software and hardware faults.
-To provide high levels of customer service to clients, ensuring their problems are dealt with within Service Level Agreements whilst maintaining customer contact.
Qualifications:
-A-C grades at GCSE,including Mathematics and English or equivalent
-Vocational IT qualifications is desirable
Skills and Experience:
-Proven ability of working within a Customer Service environment
-Helpdesk/Service Desk experience is advantageous
-Insurance industry experience is desirable
-Use of ITIL methodology would be advantageous
-Computer literate with practical experience of operating systems including VMS
