Oracle DBA
Oracle DBA: The Oracle Database Administrator - Oracle 11g, Linux, SQL, PL/SQL and XML - will be responsible for installing, configuring and providing technical support of the RDBMS and other Oracle software used by this international company. The person appointed will provide service capability and performance monitoring of the database management system. The team supports core products and software releases, providing a crucial role in service delivery. Salary / Package: 30-35k + pension + healthcare + life assurance + flexitime

Key responsibilities of the Oracle DBA:
# Installation and configuring of Oracle software on servers and stations.
# Providing technical support for Oracle RDBMS.
# Monitoring of Oracle RDBMS serviceability.
# Collation of the necessary information for creating service requests to Oracle technical support, in case of failures and critical errors.
# Installing patches for Oracle software.
# Control regular jobs executing in databases and EM GridControl.
# Control backup procedures of databases.
# Consult developers on SQL-queries and Oracle database performance, identifying and resolving performance issues.
Key requirements for the Oracle DBA:
# Practical experience of Oracle 11g, Linux, SQL, PL/SQL and XML.

# Good knowledge of Oracle architecture, concepts, technologies, options, features of different versions and editions (and preferably experience of Oracle Streams).

# Practical experience of Oracle database administration.

# Practical experience of using ASM, RAC, DataGuard, Clusterware, Partitioning, RMAN, Datapump.

# Basic Shell/Perl programming knowledge.

# Basic knowledge of operating systems Linux x86/x86_64.

# Basic knowledge of data storage systems (RAID, NAS, SAN, FC, SCSI, iSCSI, NFS).

# Basic knowledge of data communication and networking protocols (TCP/IP, VPN, SSH).

# Basic knowledge and experience with resources of Oracle technical support (MetaLink, OTN).

# Basic knowledge of enterprise control facilities and monitoring of database management systems.

# Applicants will preferably hold a degree in computer science.
