System Engineer / Integrator / Operator - Websphere / Java / C++

System Engineer / Integrator / Operator - Websphere / Java / C++: You would be joining an impressive multinational working in mission critical environments and will encounter both great challenges and great opportunities. Key Responsibilities of the System Engineer / Integrator / Operator - Websphere / Java / C++:

# Conversion and implementation - creation of business logic concerning data handling.
# Run conversions - download data, verify, run, report..
# Deployment - check out programs and make them ready to run.
# Offloads - offload data and process.
# Job Scheduling - creation of business flows.
# Monitoring - creation of monitors using xymon , qpasa etc.
# Middleware - creation of queues , aliases etc.
# General scripting - modify behaviour of programmes using scripting.
# System monitoring - load, cpu usage, memory, stability.
# Program monitoring - Java tuning , implement jmx.
# Build and deploy - rollout failure, save build/deploy procedure.
# Rewrite programs - update legacy procedures, project cocooning.
# Error handling - daily follow-up on production impacting issues.
# Documentation - create and update documentation.

Key requirements for the System Engineer / Integrator / Operator - Websphere / Java / C++:

# 3-5 years technical hands-on systems engineering / integration experience and technical expertise in the following IT products and technologies.
# Basic knowledge of Websphere, tomcat, apache.
# Basic knowledge of Java and C++ implementations.
# Medium to high level of scripting skills (using BASH).
# Good understanding of transfer and download tools to move files both internally and externally.
# In-depth knowledge of Unix / Linux to enable job control (scheduler) and handling (manual interventions).
# Company developed tools to monitor production flows (internal course foreseen).
# Knowledge of IT infrastructure, change management and problem-solving methodologies.
# Applicants must be highly motivated, possess excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to multi-task and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
