Technical Services Engineer (Document Management)

Location: Mobile (preferably around Northampton or Cobham areas)

Salary up to 35k + 6k Car Allowance + Annual Bonus

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is an excellent opportunity for a Technical services engineer to work for a dynamic and expanding consultancy. This client are committed to personal development and training and have an excellent reputation in the market place. They specialise in document management solutions and a successful person will ideally have exposure to this.

Main Purpose of the Job

The job of the Consultant is one that plays a pivotal role in ensuring customer satisfaction, site reference-ability as well as assuring the Services department is operating within its business context. This document outlines the expectations of the role and the type of skill set that is expected of the individual in this role.

Key Functional / Technical Skills
=================================


Understanding of core programming techniques

Programming experience using VB, MS Access, ORACLE and SQL Server.

Knowledge of Web based technologies such as Java, PHP and/or ColdFusion, Web Services, HTML, ASP, .NET.

Working knowledge of scripting languages e.g. UNIX or JavaScript, batch file creation.

Able to document customer requirements and manage customer expectations.

Good and demonstrable training experience

Drive a culture of quality by feeding back issues, ideas, customer feedback through the appropriate channels

Follow the defined project delivery process

Ensure there is clear audit ability of all work carried out.

Ensure all project documentation is maintained

Relevant computer/software related degree



Desirable skills and experience

* Some experience of project leadership

* Working knowledge of IT Hardware.

* Experience in providing business consultancy in the above field

Some knowledge of ERP, and FMS systems e.g. Sage, Oracle, Microsoft

Clear understanding of change control processes and the need to maintain project scope boundaries
