Prestigious Enterprise Company is seeking a SOC Security Engineers. Individual will handle threats, vulnerabilities, log reviews, threat reviews, penetration tools, and security events. This individual will handle incident response and touch on Firewalls and networks.

*There are a few shifts available: 7:30am-3:30pm (Mon-Fri), 12pm-10pm (Mon-Fri) and 9:30pm to 7:30am (Mon- Thurs or Fri-Sun)*

Some of what you will do:

- provide proactive security events analysis to manage incident response life cycle.
- analyze threat intelligence data for system tuning/verification of latest industry threats
- provide increased coverage for security incident analysis and response
- identify high impact data collection for improved detection
- drive incident response regarding DDOS
- build processes around DDOS detection and mitigation capabilities

What you need to have:

- experience in IT networking, application support, desktop support, and/or server support
-3+ years of experience within a technical security role (network security, operating system security, Internet/web security, Firewalls, anti-malware, IDS/IPS, penetration & vulnerability testing)
- network monitoring experience (packet/protocol analysis)
- knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, topology, and security), operating systems (Windows/UNIX), and web technologies (Internet security)
- ability to read & analyze security event data including, security event logs, Firewall logs and syslog
- DDOS specific incident response experience
- experience with: web application security, database security
- strong Regex Skills
- strong experience in: Scripting (Perl/Python); Linux; Packet Analysis
- strong experience in: operational/Process Automation
- strong understanding of data visualization, data correlation and analysis
- BS in computer science, information systems, or related discipline (will consider equivalent work experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree - with the 5+ years of experience)
