JOB TITLE: Project Engineer - Control & Automation

SALARY: £35,000 - £43,000 plus Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to join an expanding company who are the European experts in design and manufacturing of variable speed drives and permanent magnet motors. The successful Project Engineer will provide total project management and design of contracts within the Systems Department. The Project Engineer will provide expert technical consultancy, including the development of non-standard technical solutions. The Project Engineer will provide specific departmental responsibility for statutory standards conformance, legal safety adherence and ISO9001 compliance within the department. The Project Engineer's position will be a hands-on, customer facing, project engineering role.

Duties & responsibilities:
*Total Project Management of multiple projects.
*Design of electrical control cubicles / systems to customer requirements, meeting deadlines and budget requirements
*All key functions, including the management of non-department project activities such as purchasing, finance and commissioning
*All relevant day-to-day technical, commercial and logistical decisions. Such decisions should be carefully considered to ensure the optimum solution in terms of cost, timeliness, safety and reliability is provided.
*Statutory & contract specific standards e.g.> EN60204, EN13849, UL508A

Essential Factors for the successful Project Engineer:
*400V 3 phase circuit and control cubicle design
*AC Variable speed drives and applications
*Electrical CAD

Desirable Factors:
*Degree or equivalent in electrical / electronic / control engineering ideally with relevant professional qualification
*PLC Programming, specifically Allen Bradley / Siemens S7
*Fieldbus communications, including Profibus, Devicenet, CAN open etc.
*Project management, good personal time management skills
*Safety systems to EN13849 & EN904
*HMI / SCADA Software
*Electrical CAD e.g. AutoCAD, E Plan or similar
*Experience in the field of drive control systems and applications
