The Role:
Our manufacturing role offers the opportunity to work either in the Semi-conductor/Hybrid area of our business or in a
systems manufacturing role in our Glenrothes office.
A role in systems manufacturing will involve:
Providing support to ongoing Engineering improvement programs such as
* Involvement in the key upgrade of manufacturing systems and infrastructure to qualify for Corporate ESD standard RP-10.
This activity is a key example of how our graduate would become involved in process engineering activity.
* Involvement in review and upgrade to our manufacturing layout for improved work-flow, deployment of lean principles and
standard work-cell layout. This is a key example of the potential involvement this role will have in industrial
engineering activity.
Both of our manufacturing graduates will rotate into our six sigma function for a period of six months at some stage over
the course of the 2 year programme in addition to their technical manufacturing development. This will give them a good
grounding in the key principles of six sigma to apply back into their work in manufacturing.
Requirements for Role:
Typical relevant degrees:
BSc in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
BSc in Applied Physics with solid state electronics
You will also have:
-A-levels (or equivalent) with a minimum of 300 UCAS points.
-Be a logical thinker with excellent problem solving ability.
-Have strong communication skills.
-Be methodical, hardworking, enthusiastic and able to work well under pressure.
