Job Purpose

To secure appropriate procurement arrangements and Value for Money by effective sourcing and contract activities through competitive tendering processes to meet Anchor's business needs.

Knowledge & Skills

* Developed knowledge of Procurement processes and procedures
* Awareness and understanding of current developments in external environment, including supplier markets and external forces to support strategy development
* Knowledge of contract law, standard forms of contracting and regulatory/ legislative requirements and the consequence of non-compliance
* Knowledge of Health & Safety and Equal opportunities
* Service level Agreements/ KPI targets.

Experience & Qualifications

* Experience of meeting KPI targets and service standards in a commercial environment.
* Substantial broad procurement experience with a strategic impact across multi-site organisations.
* Procurement research, developing innovative solutions and contributing to the strategic planning process.
* Managing and reporting supplier spend/savings.
* Experience of working in multiple professional teams, complex projects or activities with a strategic influence.
* Experience of managing key suppliers / partners.
* Experience of delivering change within procurement programmes.
* Qualified to a degree level in an appropriate discipline preferably with a complimentary professional qualification, i.e. MCIPS.
