Design Engineer - Commercial Interiors (x1)

As the UK's leading turnkey demountable partitions systems provider Norwood works with clients who understand the importance of choosing the right prefabricated steel partition systems. Norwood's clients demand intelligent functionality and world-class design & manufacture.
Today, the company designs and manufactures a full range of bespoke prefabricated pods, steel and glass partitions, to a wide range of corporate, medical, education, controlled room and industrial environments. All our systems can house integrated data cables and cooling systems within the panels to allow a flush finish.
Due to the continued growth of the UK Manufacturing division based in Hyde we require the following position:

Role
Produce general arrangement, elevation and detail drawings for steel based partition & ceiling layouts
Working with our clients and their sub-contractors to develop the project design and interfaces to achieve drawing approval
Produce works orders from approved drawings for manufacturing
Produce project specific manufacturing details
Client meetings, site visits and surveys
Salary - £24-27k p/a
Holidays and benefits?

Skills
Minimum 5yrs experience AutoCAD 2D
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Construction industry experience and working knowledge
Preference for applicants with a sheet metal/fabrication background
Confident and excellent communicator
Problem solving skills
Ability to work and adhere to strict deadlines
Work as part of a team
Full UK driving licence.
