Pitch Manager
The Pitch Manager will provide strategic and business planning support ensuring the delivery of effective and dynamic pitch deliverables, contributing to the business objectives of the firm.
Main responsibilities
Lead on high value, complex cross-border/practice/sector pitches from end-to-end, including:
* Conduct kick-off meetings, including bid/no bid qualification, and team selection
* Project manage/coordinate written proposals (advising on roles of virtual pitch team members and their deliverables, providing first drafts, advising on approach and style)
* Engage support functions (e.g. Finance, DP, Brand, Reprographics) and manage input to ensure timely delivery of pitches as required
* Project manage/coordinate presentation rehearsals (including focus on team structure and dynamics, key messages, brainstorming potential questions/answers and handovers)
* Proactively follow up with fee-earners for outstanding pitch outcomes; conduct internal and client-facing pitch debriefs, and ensure improvements are applied
* To provide strategic pitch advice to fee earners, including qualification, win strategy and value proposition
* Deliver bespoke pitch training to the fee-earning community and support functions to highlight best practice, increase efficiencies and deliver improved success rates
* Provide on-going recommendations on improvement of the pitch process, approach and style
* Take responsibility for additional projects, to be confirmed with the senior pitch manager, which support the pitch team's priorities
* Deputise for Senior Pitch Manager as necessary
* Mentor pitch team members
Key Competencies
* Professional approach, which is demonstrated by a high level of customer service; score highly in terms of commitment and internal client care
* Possess a high level of written and oral communication skills.
* Strong strategic and analytical capability, together with proven operational and project-management skills
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style
* Able to multi-task and work to deadlines, be methodical and logical in their working methods, as well as thrive in a robust and fast-paced environment
* Able to manage delivery through others, including fee-earners of all levels and their teams, firm wide Marketing/Business Development colleagues and external suppliers
* Educated to first degree level
* IT literate; experience using InterAction and Office 2010 would be beneficial
