Our client is an innovative and forward-thinking organisation based in pleasant, modern offices near Broughton who are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team.
Other responsibilities will include:
* Preparation of year-end financial statements for an allocated proportion of the client base
* Preparation of returns and payment of corporation tax liabilities
* Review of company trial balances and identification of any issues arising
* Reconciliation of control and bank accounts where required
* Calculation, preparation and final presentation of statements of income on behalf of clients
* Identification and resolution of payroll systems issues and accounts systems issues
* Statutory payment notification, calculation and payment on behalf of clients, including SSP, SMP, SPP
* Researching taxation / client issues and providing support and advice to internal teams and clients
* Liaising with Government agencies on behalf of clients in order to resolve specific matters, including chasing payments due to clients and errors on HMRC records
To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate:
* Proven previous experience in a similar role as a financial accountant
* Full/part CIMA and/or ACCA qualifications or equivalent level of experience
* The ability to effectively communicate at all levels with colleagues & clients
* Excellent people skills and your positive outlook as a team player
* A proactive and professional attitude
* Your ability to maintain the professional, positive and client driven image of the company
Location: near Broughton
Hourly rate: £8.50 - £9,50 per hour plus holiday pay. Free car parking available.
