One of my prestigious clients is looking for an International Construction/Project lawyer for their Beijing office. The client is a well-structured top tier international law firm which advise on the high-profile transactions in the Asia-Pacific region.

This individual will be acting on behalves of domestic/foreign construction and engineering groups, sponsors and financiers on international projects, construction & commercial contracts across a wide range of industries including power, mining, oil & gas, other natural resources, manufacturing, real estate and etc. As the key member structuring the transactions, drafting & reviewing legal documents & contract (including EPCs, procurement, construction management, supply and off-take) in English and Chinese mandarin. As this is a direct client-facing role, therefore you will be the key contact for client negotiation and communication. You will also be managing teams for completing the projects.

Essentially, applicants should be at mid - senior level (3 - 7 years PQE), strong in legal drafting in both English and Mandarin. They should be fully qualified lawyers to practice law in China and/or under common law jurisdictions. Strong hands-on client experience and communication skills are desirable. You must have worked as a team leader and could go extra miles to deliver results. Ideally, this associate was trained and has worked with international law firms; however candidates who have worked in top domestic law firms with exceptional strong experience can be considered.
