Unix / Solaris System Administrator

A Unix / Solaris System Administrator required for my Client, a leading international Sportsbook, Casino and Poker room based in Gibraltar, South Spain.

Responsibilities:
Support for all production Linux & Solaris servers including proactive monitoring, fault diagnosis and performing root cause analysis of incidents
Identify and mitigate operational risks within the environment
Ensure that all live systems meet the required level of resilience
Support and diagnostics for VMWare virtual infrastructure
Support for SAN / NAS Storage systems
Support for Unix machines across all of our test environments
Internal and external DNS management
Apache httpd and Tomcat configuration
Build systems using Kickstart and VMware templates
Supporting our configuration management system, CFEngine
RPM package management and creation of customized RPM packages
Supporting the Software configuration management team
Configuring Nagios and Nagios plugins.

Skills:
At least 3 years experience in a similar role
Excellent attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills
Good organisational skills
Must be a good team player

Technical Requirements:
Expert knowledge in RedHat enterprise 5 and a solid footing in Solaris 10
RHSCA or RHCE is highly preferred
A solid understanding of TCP/IP and basic network configuration skills, including web load balancers
Unix Shell scripting
Kickstart configuration
Professional experience with Apache and Tomcat
Configuration and management of Nagios and Nagios plugins
Working knowledge of enterprise storage technologies
Experience with CFEngine
Experience with RPM packaging.
