Performance Test Lead - Linux, Internet Protocols, Loadrunner, WebSphere:

We are looking for a Performance Test Lead, with experience in Linux, Internet Protocols, Loadrunner and/or WebSphere, to
join our team based in Watford.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years experience in both performance testing and performance tuning.

This is a key role working for a software house responsible for the delivery and support of a large number of high
profile E-commerce/J2EE applications. We are looking for individuals with excellent technical, leading and mentoring
ability looking to make their mark in a diverse and expanding team. The challenges you will face include different
architectures, application components and their interaction. You will be involved in supporting other teams during all
phases including development and live operations.

Role:
Assist performance tuning, configuration and support of live or to be live customer systems of multiple WebSphere
Commerce/J2EE Applications and associated components with specific focus on test planning, performance testing and
capacity reviews.

Experience Requirements:

Candidates need to have knowledge and understanding of both performance testing and performance tuning in a web
multi-tiered environment.

With specific expertise in:

* Experience of the full Performance test cycle including planning, execution and reporting

* Defining, Creating and presenting performance test strategy and plans

* Collecting and analysing requirements for performance testing

* Writing and reviewing performance test reports with colleagues and partner organisations

* Capacity planning

* Performance problem determination and root cause analysis

* Process automation

* Defect management

* Knowledge sharing and mentoring other technical staff

With the following technologies:

* Java1.6 SDK (Sun/IBM runtime)

* Linux

* Internet protocols (HTTP/HTTPS)

* Performance Testing tools, eg Loadrunner, Gomez

* Shell Scripting, Perl/AWK, ant

Additional Desirable Skills:

* AIX, Windows

* Tomcat, JBoss

* IBM DB2 performance tuning, SQL

* Oracle performance tuning

* Java expertise up to Architect level including profiling, ability to review Java source code and recommend
optimisations

* IBM WebSphere Application Server

* IBM WebSphere Commerce

* Operating system, Network and hardware performance

* Virtualisation
