Our client is looking for a Lead Internal Verifier to join their company in a role covering the Midlands.
Candidates must have V1 or D34 Internal Verifier qualification and TAQA, A1 or D32 / D33 Assessing awards and ideally some training qualifications.
The applicant must also have experience of verifying across a range of Hospitality qualifications at levels 2 and 3 and be able to work with qualifications such as Customer Service and Team Leading.
Purpose of the role:
To monitor the internal quality assurance of the assessment process in line with the company Internal Verification Strategy and the External Awarding Body requirements.
To disseminate best practice in respect of assessment and to support and develop assessors to meet the required completion targets (Minimum levels of performance)
Principal duties
To monitor assessment practices against the requirements of the company and Awarding Body requirements.
To facilitate smart assessment practices, to ensure assessors can operate within the agreed timely completion rates.
To disseminate best practice via coaching and standardisation activities.
To advise Team Leaders/Managers where improvements in practice are required and to compile, monitor and where required deliver direct any improvement recommendations.
To respond to complaints and appeals in line with the company's appeals and disputes procedures.
To evaluate the effectiveness of internal quality assurance measures, records and associated documentation, make recommendations to the Directors to improve verification and assessment practice.
To review, summarise and circulate EV feedback, ensuring that each suffix/area is demonstrating consistent practice and that there is a company-wide process for updating and improving performance.
To respond to, or support the response of feedback post an EV report and to support the development and delivery of any action plans.
Monitor health and safety and equal opportunities to ensure that all candidates have access to reliable and fair assessment.
Provide individuals/area teams with information and support materials supporting qualification delivery.
Monitor and support the induction and CPD of assessors and Team leaders and Managers as required.
Support the delivery and design staff development programmes and learner resources.
Location: Throughout The Midlands
Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
Holidays: 25 days per annum
Salary: 26,000 - 30,000 per annum dependant on skills, qualifications and experience
