Jig/Fixture Technician
£26,000 - £27,500 per annum plus shift work premiums

The Company

An established and well known first-tier manufacturing organisation delivering engineering services to the UK automotive industry. Due to increase demand in 2012 they are seeking applications from experienced Jig/Fixture Technicians to join their successful production team.

The Role

The main responsibilities of the role are to maintain and enable trouble free production, completing repairs as necessary to ensure correct operation of machinery.

The successful applicant will also manufacture new jigs/fixtures, certify Poke Yoke devices, create and upkeep critical spares and conduct TPM tasks on time.

During the interview process, successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the following key competencies:

* Experienced in mechanical/ electrical tooling or jig and fixtures
* Competent in the use of tool room machinery (late, milling machine, surface and cylindrical grinding and drilling machines)
* Able to undertake overtime and urgent call outs as required

The Reward

The company is offering a generous basic salary of £26,000 - £27,500 with an overtime allowance for shift work.
