An opportunity exists for a Lawyer with a minimum of 2 year's PQE experience of employment law to join our clients employment law team with offices in Newport, Gwent. Servicing a diverse client base from across England and Wales, our clients team is highly regarded and continue to build on their excellent reputation with new client acquisitions.
As part of our clients employment law team you will provide advice on matters, predominantly to an employer client. Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience of employment tribunal work (including unfair dismissal and discrimination claims), advising on redundancies and restructuring, executive termination, compromise agreements and general advice work.
You will, on occasions, work closely with our wider Business Services Division and provide support to colleagues working in other legal disciplines in matters such sales and acquisitions. The ability to work as part of a team is therefore essential.
First class service delivery is key to our current and on-going success and an ability to respond quickly to requests and demands from clients as well as an ability to give comprehensive, pragmatic advice is essential.
The employment law team actively promotes its services to both current and potential clients as well as working in partnership with external agencies. An ability to effectively contribute to business development initiatives both in planning and delivery phase is an important part of not only the role itself, but for the opportunities that will exist for career progression for the successful candidate.
Skills Required
You must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of employment law as well as the personal qualities that will be vital in building long term relationships withboth existing and potential clients. An appreciation of and a willingness to deliver the type of employment law advice that will support our clients in achieving their business or organisational goals is important
You will have a proven track record in working to targets and tight deadlines.
