My client heads a very successful and exciting team in global leading Investment Bank. The team is looking for an Equity Research/Investment Research analyst with a previous focus on Equity, Equity Derivatives and/or Equity-linked products.

Whilst candidates from both buy-side and sell-side institutions are encouraged to apply, the team has a large preference for candidates from other investment banks.

The team is interlinked with Structuring and Trading and successful candidates will play a large part in generation of trade ideas, origination, marketing and also some of the more quantitative aspects of Structuring.

Candidates must have their fingers on the pulse of the markets and possess verve, passion and enthusiasm to succeed. Market knowledge will be heavily tested. If candidates do not read the FT or similar publications - they will falter at interview stage if requested.

The ideal candidate will also have good quantitative skills ie an MSc in Maths/Physics - so as to have a strong understanding of the analysis and modelling behind structured solutions and complicated trading strategies.
