Payroll & Flexible Benefits Manager
Our client, a successful financial services organisation based in Central London, is currently seeking an experienced Payroll & Flexible Benefits Manager to join their organisation on a permanent basis offering a salary range of 60-90,000 + excellent benefits.
The purpose of this role is to build and maintain a credible core function to deliver accurate and timely payroll/flex service to the organisation. This will include defining (and contracting with stakeholders) to ensure the methodology is business led and that the service meets the needs of the business and its customers. The role holder will need excellent stakeholder management skills and a high level of credibility in dealing with a range of influential internal and external stakeholders.
This role covers the core payroll function (which covers 3000 monthly paid staff and a smaller secondee population) and the provision of flexible benefits across the same population.
Ideally holding a payroll qualification, the successful candidate must have experience in the following areas:
Key Requirements of the Payroll & Flexible Benefits Manager
* Proactively build, and evaluate the effectiveness, of the payroll and benefits function to ensure it reflects and influences the future organisational needs.
* Work effectively with senior leaders (ExCo/Directors & HoDs) demonstrating the credibility, tenacity and gravitas to recommend actions based on fact based evidence of payroll and benefits needs and challenge cultural norms to both influence and shape opinion.
* Provide thought leadership on the organisations approach to payroll and benefits management and translate this into tangible business drivers.
* Overall accountability for payroll and benefits strategies, policies, processes and systems.
* Ownership for payroll and benefits management system(s) including its content, associated legal requirements, MI. Proactively identify sustainable future system requirements in line with business needs.
* Ensures accurate and timely operation of Payroll and Flex function
* Ensures compliance with external deadlines (eg HMRC, NAO)
* Responsible for relationships with brokers/benefits providers
* Manage annual benefits renewals for Flex, including re-enrolment process
* Owns payroll and flexible benefits systems including content, associated legal requirements and MI. Proactively identifies and implements sustainable future requirements in line with legislative and business needs
* Agree with key stakeholders, relevant and measurable KPIs/SLAs and ensures these are met
* Responsible for systems operations - eg Oracle, Logica CMG
* Work with head of compensation on year end emoluments/Directors' Remuneration reporting requirements
* Work with the Compensation and Benefits Manager to re-scope the Flex strategy post Legal Cutover
* To be an active member of the organisations HR management team.
* Recruit, motivate, retain, develop and reward a high performing team so that they are recognised as a centre of excellence by the business - monitor and measure staff performance against agreed performance and quality objectives on an on-going basis.

* In depth 'hands on' knowledge of Oracle ERP and Logica
