Head of Software Delivery - £120,000 - London

Head of Software Delivery urgently required!

My client are a leading provider of global technology services to the financial services industry specifically providing innovation, competitiveness and responsive IT that truly enables financial services. Their clients are the major investment banks and Asset Managers. This role sits within the Wealth Management Group.

The role reports directly to the CEO of thus multi-national software firm, so offers a very significant strategic position in a brand that is well known throughout the wealth management sector. You will be able to drive the business with new products as well as steering current projects in the most effective way.

The UK Head of Delivery will involve delivering projects within agreed budget and time constraints, whilst maintaining control of the scope and impact of changes through a formal sign-off process

The UK Head of Delivery will:
Manage the financial aspects of all UK projects. Assist with the setting the revenue target at the beginning of each financial year and ensuring it is met each year, Manage the resources and expenditure to maximize profits within each project.

managing the strategic direction of projects;

resolving issues raised on projects and escalating where necessary;

ensuring staff are working effectively on projects.

Manage project to keep them within budget and where this is not possible, renegotiate the budgets.

Ensure that the projects deliver the promised functionality agreed quality standards.

Minimize and manage project risk.

Create and maintain a good working relationship with the client(s) and the consultancy firms that the client(s) engages.

Manage through others the application of software engineering methods.

Manage and motivate all project management staff.

Ensure that the tasks and responsibilities given to project management staff remain broadly within pre-existing plans for their professional development.

Candidates must have:
At least 8 years commercial experience

Background in a software vendor

Experience of Financial services

Experience of Software Systems implementation

Understanding of Back Office Systems

Extensive, demonstrated skills in a program management capacity including project management process changes and portfolio reporting and forecasting

Extensive, demonstrated skills in a professional project management capacity including the management of integration, scope, schedule, cost, quality and resources (both human and technology) in the software development area.

Experience managing teams of up to 20 project resources

Proven experience in administration in areas of documentation and

Developed skills in planning and organising large service delivery, financial analysis skills and the ability to influence customers at all levels.
