Marketing and Communications Coordinator, CONTRACT, 28k
Our client is a not for profit organisation that works with industry, government and the education sector to promote vocational training and skills through a major national event and local initiatives.
Position: Marketing and Communications Co-ordinator
Location: London (nearest station Charing Cross)
Salary: 28k (pro rata)
Benefits: 25 days annual leave (pro rata)
Duration: Fixed term until 31st January 2013 with a possible extension. Must be available to start immediately

ROLE:
The Marketing and Communications Co-ordinator will provide support to the Marketing Communications team to ensure the company's marketing and communications activities are planned and delivered in a co-ordinated, effective and efficient way.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Contribute to the delivery of a successful show that meets the requirements of our client , supports the delivery of the legacy and exceeds the expectations of participants, visitors and stakeholders.
b) To work with the Event Marketing Manager's and the digital team to ensure their website is kept up-to-date at all times.
c) To assist in the delivery of marketing communications activity to support our client's sponsorship agreements.
d) To work with the visitor recruitment agency and internal departments to plan and deliver email communications on a timely basis.
e) To handle internal and external enquires for brand guidelines and logo requests.
f) To ensure relevant promotional materials, and event stands are sent to external exhibitions and events to promote our client, attending the event and manning the stand as and when required and acting as 'ambassador' for company.
g) To support the Event Marketing Manager in the successful delivery of the visitor experience branding project, liaising with internal teams and external suppliers and agencies.
h) To support the Event Marketing Managers and the visitor recruitment agency in producing event marketing collateral, from copy writing to liaising with design and print suppliers.
i) Effectively manage resources (including agencies, suppliers, contractors) so that all products and services are delivered to acceptable standards.
j) Adhere to the internal financial processes and controls of our client ensuring that purchase requisitions and supporting documentation is in order for all items of expenditure.
k) Other duties and/or projects as may reasonably be requested by the Event Marketing Manager.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Experience of working to integrated marketing communications plans.
b) Experience of digital marketing, including website updates and co-ordinating / delivering email marketing communications.
c) Experience of co-ordinating external communications suppliers (e.g. design and print agencies,).
d) Experience of working with a diverse range of stakeholders.
e) Good working knowledge of event marketing procedure.
f) Good working knowledge of one or more website content management systems and design and print processes.
g) Excellent copywriting skills and solid understanding of English grammar with the ability to adapt writing style for different channels/audiences.
h) Prepared to occasionally work outside normal hours and spend nights away from home.
i) Prepared to travel (within the United Kingdom).
