The Role:
This company are looking for a Head of User Experience to work across both website design and build, and marketing
communications. This is a senior hire that sits within the strategic planning team, you'll be one of the key bridges
between planning and design.
You will need to be capable of engaging with projects at a strategic level and also naturally dive into the fine detail
across website redesigns, campaigns and mobile solutions.
They are looking for an inspiring UX leader who can champion the user experience across the agency, with the ability to
choose the right methodology and approach to deliver projects by simplifying the complexity you'll be faced with. You
will also be commercially aware.
The role involves working across integrated marketing communications briefs - creating ground breaking solutions that
meet our clients objectives.
You will manage one permanent team member, supported by freelance UX architects as required.
Main Duties:
Leader - You will build strong relationships with senior clients and the agency team. You will be responsible for a
growing team working across clients within the business.
Thinker - You will be responsible for devising, envisioning and implementing a user-centric experience to our clients.
Solver - You will solve complex problems by applying methodical thinking, logic and bringing new ideas to the table.
Visionary - You will be challenging everyday thinking to breathe new ideas into the work to realise a project's vision.
Story teller - You will be someone with great communication skills who can articulate your thinking simply, clearly and
with conviction, taking people on a journey.
Team player - The role involves working closely and in partnership with strategists, designers, developers, content,
search, social media experts and client services developing integrated ways of working.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- At least 5 year's industry experience working across both large website and integrated campaigns
- At least 2 years experience managing a team or mentoring other User Experience Architects.
- Worked with cross-functional teams effectively as everyday tasks.
- Industry experience across B2C and ideally B2B.
- A familiarity and appreciation of the strengths and weaknesses of HTML, CSS, DHTML, Flash, JavaScript, AJAX, and
Content Management Systems is useful but not essential.
- Use Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, Omnigraffle or Visio, MS Office.
