ITN Mark Education would like to welcome a primary school teacher to apply for this Year 1 teacher vacancy in the Nechells area of Birmingham.


This is an average size school that serves an area of Birmingham with a social deprivation index that is amongst the highest in the city. Almost all of the pupils are from Black African heritage with a small minority being White British. The proportion of pupils learning English as an additional language is much higher than is typically found in other schools, as is the proportions of those who claim free school meals and those who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Cromwell is a good school, and senior leaders have worked very hard an successfully in creating a safe, happy and harmonious place in which pupils thrive as learners and as developing young people. Pupils enjoy coming to the school and say that they feel safe there. They behave well and by their actions in lessons show that they have fully accepted their role as learners. They have a secure understanding of right and wrong and show maturity when they have difficult choices to make, including those to do with staying safe and keeping healthy.


We are looking for a primary teacher with good experience to maintain a high standard of teaching in Year 1. You will need to be imaginative and perceptive in your teaching approach and have superb rapport building skills with excellent initiative and work ethic and planning.
