My Client is seeking a Consultant Clinical Psychologist for their 96 bed independent hospital that provides assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services for people who are detained under the Mental Health Act and situated half-way between York and Hull and is ideally placed to maintain working links with the Universities in both centres.
Responsibilities Lead the development and delivery of the psychology service, providing psychological assessment and treatment programmes which are evidence and outcome based
Ensure by the recruitment, supervision, and management of psychology staff the provision of a highly specialist psychology service
To act as a senior member of the clinical team
Assist the Multidisciplinary Team's in their development of treatment modalities with cognisance to the person's psychological deficits or issues
Maintain an individual Clinical Caseload
To contribute to service evaluation, research and policy development and to provide consultation as/when appropriate, as well as further promoting the service as part of this work
Comply with company policies and British Psychological Society (BPS) guidelines. Criteria
A Degree in Psychology, minimum 2:1 with eligibility for graduate membership of the BPS and hold a Postgraduate doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology or equivalent
